Overview
Huw has international experience of working in senior roles for both the public and private sectors for over 20 years, advising on multi-million construction projects (both Employer side and Contractor focused), establishing and enforcing regulatory compliance and advising executive colleagues on business strategy and corporate governance.

Huw’s clients particularly appreciate his flexible approach and his ability quickly digest facts, focus on problem solving and find solutions to legal issues and disputes. Huw’s broad international experience enables him to deal with both local and international clients in a culturally sensitive and professional manner.

Huw has advised and delivered board training to several leading public sector regulators and the commercial sector users both in the UK and the Middle East. He has also played a key role in designing and implementing several national strategies, frameworks, and initiatives.
Huw is a qualified barrister and is regulated by the Bar Standards Board and can mediate or arbitrate in person or online.

Arbitration...
When instructed as an arbitrator, Huw appreciates that his primary function is to administer the dispute in accordance with the selected procedure, impartially, fairly and with integrity; he is familiar with all of the major arbitration rules.
Huw has particular experience in the major construction templates standard forms and contracts (including e.g. FIDIC) and has resolved several construction related disputes; he has also advised on PPP / PFI projects and the applicability of various procurement models such as BOOT / BOT / DBOM at a Governmental level. Huw has also acted as the final decision maker in several regulatory matters across a broad range of matters including healthcare and commercial disputes.
